The Community Land Rights of Women and Youth in Tana River and Turkana Counties

Chapter Five of the Constitution of Kenya, which focuses on land and the environment, recognizes the centrality of land in Kenya. However, unrealized women's rights relating to accessing and controlling land and natural resources and improving their management pose a challenge to effective land governance systems in arid and semi-arid regions.
