Canada and the Responsibility of Home States in the Protection of Human Rights for the Activities of Extractive Industries in Latin America

Request for Thematic Hearing: Canada and the responsibility of home States in the protection of human rights for the activities of extractive industries in Latin America Distinguished Dr. Abrao: In conformity with Articles 61, 62 and 66 of the Rules of Procedures of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), the aforementioned organizations hereby respectfully request a thematic hearing during the IACHR?s 166th period of sessions, to be held in November and December 2017 in Washington, D.C.. The subject of our proposed hearing is ?Canada and the responsibility of home States in the protection of human rights for the activities of extractive industries in Latin America.
