Shareholder Engagement: A Promising SRI Practice

Anglo-Saxon or Scandinavian investors have a longer tradition of engagement practices. This was confirmed in Eurosif's European SRI Study, conducted every two years. The countries with the most assets subject to an engagement approach are the United Kingdom (EUR 830.1 billion in 2009), the Netherlands (EUR 307.5 billion), Norway (EUR 195.2 billion) and Sweden (EUR 118.8 billion), well ahead of France (EUR 6.1 billion).
