How Home Governments Can Incentivise Responsible Business Conduct of Extractive Companies Operating Abroad: Reporting Requirements

This Report is the second in a series that review measures that home states can use to incentivise responsible business conduct (RBC) and disincentivise irresponsible conduct of extractive companies operating abroad. It reviews measures by eight selected countries in the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as well as Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) and the European Union (EU) to use reporting requirements to stimulate more transparency, and greater accountability, of extractive companies concerning their operations outside their home base. The analysis is based on the data set out in the tables in the Annex.
